Day 19 Of 100 Days In Paradise

It's SO AWESOME when we hand everything
over to GOD, stand back and watch Him work
EVERYTHING out.
Why should we ever waste a moment of our
lives here on this earth worrying about
ANYTHING.
We still have no idea where we will
be living come April.
What I do know is God already has
it worked out.
We are hoping to remain on the coast.
           BUT
          Does GOD have other plans?
A dear friend of mine has been Praying
about what to do with her home in
Pickens, SC while she attends school in Florida.
She said as she Prayed God brought my name
to her mind.
Over the past two days we have been talking
about what this means.
Am I to move my family into her home for the
10 months she and her family will be
away?
Will we trade the coast for the mountains
and she the mountains for the
coast?
Please Pray for our two families.
She and her two boys and my two boys and me
as we ask God to lead us.
We are excited to see what God has in store
for each of us.

Philippians 4:6-7
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray
about everything.   Tell God what you need,
and thank Him for all He has done.  Then
you will experience God's peace, which
exceeds anything we can understand.  His
peace will guard your hearts and minds as
you live in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:27-29
Can all your worries add a single moment
to your life?  And why worry about your
clothing? Look at the lilies of the field
and how they grow.  They don't work
or make their clothing, yet Solomon in
all his glory was not dressed as beautifully
as they are.

Day 18 Of 100 Days In Paradise

I know in my heart I should never worry about a thing.
God has it ALL under control.

My Prayer each and every day is for Him to take full
control over ALL aspects of my life.

No Worries
HE GOT THIS
No Matter What It Is
He ALWAYS works it out
To HIM Be The Glory

Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet ALL your needs according to His
glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting the whole of your care {all your anxieties,
all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all}
on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and
cares about you watchfully.

Day 17 of 100 Days In Paradise

When Trammell was growing up he used to ask me,
"Mom, what's it like to only see out of one eye?"
To which I always replied, "What's it like to see
out of two?"
We couldn't answer each other's question.
I have never been able to see out of my right eye
and I'm nearsighted and farsighted in my good eye.
He, on the other hand, is Blessed with perfect vision
in both eyes.

In my life I have known people who were caregivers.
I baked cookies, fixed up gift baskets or some other
small gesture but never really knew what to do to
help.
I never really knew what they were living
through - Until I became a Caregiver.

In my life I have seen disabled people.
I drove a handicap bus in High School
(It took me a year and my eye specialist's
signature to convince the school board to even
let me try for my bus licenses.  Of course that
was the 70's and they would never allow me
to try now days.)
Years later I volunteered at Shriner's Hospital for
a few years and got to know so many precious children
with disabilities.
But I did not realize what they really lived
through - Until my son became paralyzed.

We never REALLY know what a person
is living through until we actually live
through it ourselves.
But we must try to empathize and help
in any way we possibly can.
I know from our experience that even the
smallest of jesters mean SO MUCH.

1 Corinthians 9:22
To the weak I became weak, to win the
weak.  I have become all things to all
people so that by all possible means
I might save some.

Day 16 Of 100 Days In Paradise

WHY did I name this blog
100 Days In PARADISE?
I have been asked.

We are being given the chance
to live, for a few months, in this
Awesome place while we wait for
the closing on our house. ( We could
no longer live in our dream home
after David became bedridden and
Trammell was paralyzed because it
is three stories.  It's been a six year
nightmare in itself just trying to get
it sold.)
After that we may begin our search
for a permanent home.

We now have 85 days left in this
beach front Resort to which I
refer to as PARADISE.

The outside view is PARADISE.
Inside we are still living our nightmare
day after day & night after night
BUT
 Oh
  that
 MAGNIFICENT VIEW!

One that I shall surely miss.
BUT
One that can never compare
with the AWESOME views
HEAVEN has in store.

Revelation 21:21 - 23
The twelve gates were twelve
pearls, each gate made of a
single pearl.  The great street of
the city was of gold, as pure as
transparent glass.
I did not see a temple in the city,
because the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are it's temple.
The city does not need the sun or the
moon to shine on it, for the glory of
God gives it light, and the Lamb is
it's lamp.

Day 15 Of 100 Days In Paradise

A dear friend of mine lost her Mom today.
I know that pain all too well.
It's something that we all know will eventually
happen but that does not take the shock nor the
pain away when it actually does.

Life is so very fragile.
Every single breath we take has the potential
of being our last.
We dare not waste even one.

We must also remember that every breath is an
undeserved Blessing.
A gift that is given to us by our Heavenly Father
to be used for His Glory
For His Plan.
For the sole purpose He placed us here to begin with.

Oh how wonderful it is when we realize that we are
here for a reason.
As a matter of fact, two reasons.
To Serve God and To Help Others.

Let's Make Every Breath Count.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the LORD, plans to prosper
you and not to harm you,  plans to give
you hope and a future.

Matthew 5:16
...Let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your Father in Heaven.

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing
good for in due season we will reap,
if we do not give up.

Day 14 Of 100 Days In Paradise

I have never shied away from adventure.  Never been
afraid of big changes in my life.
I have traveled to so many wonderful places
and had so many adventures.
In the 80's I even took two years off from my modeling
career and traveled all over Mexico by airplane, train,
bus, car and even on foot.
Then after the rape and murder of a dear friend
I moved back to the states
but not before contracting malaria.

After that I discovered an Island off the coast of Texas
called South Padre Island, where I lived for a year until my
family urged me to move back to South Carolina.

I did and a year later, in 1990, on a blind date, met David.
We were married on Oct. 6, 1991. My Mom and Dad's
Anniversary.
Trammell was born July 19th 1993.
That's when my best adventure began.

Trammell too has an adventurous heart.  He yearns
to travel,  to explore. But here he is, trapped.
Living under house arrest.
Helping me take care of his Dad.
I Pray that some day he too gets the chance to go
to all the places he dreams of going.

Psalm 40:5
Many,  Oh Lord my God, are the wonders
you have done.  The things you planned
for us no one can recount to you;  were
I to speak and tell of them,  they would
be too many to declare.

Day "13" Of 100 Days In Paradise 1/1/"13"

We have now entered into our 7th year of
this nightmare.
7 years of a life we could have never imagined
in our wildest dream.
Even after all this time I still look at our
life as being in a Holding Pattern.
Waiting on God to lift us up out of this sometimes
unbearable situation.
                              BUT
Then I remember
what about all those who have suffered their entire lives.
What about those who have lost their lives.
What about those who are sleeping in the streets tonight
and every night.

I know God has us in this situation for a reason.
I have said it many times.
I Know He Has A Plan and
His Plan Is Always Best.

We are in Training For A Mission.
We are in God's  Boot Camp.
Oooh-Rah!

Hebrews 12:12
For the moment all discipline seems
painful rather than pleasant, but later
it yields the peaceful fruit of
righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous.  Do no fear
or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord
your God who goes with you.  He will
not leave you or forsake you.
